Conference information
FECUN2022 will take place in Bhutan, November 4-5, 2022, as a hybrid conference, meaning that it will be possible to participate either onsite in Bhutan or online. The onsite conference venue is located at the Royal University of Bhutan, Thimphu, Bhutan
If it is impossible to have the physical onsite part of a conference (for example, due to a pandemic), the whole conference will be held online.

Participation
Participation online is free.
Participation onsite from abroad costs 340 USD, covering a conference visa, accommodation, and meals the two conference days. More information regarding participating in other activities related to the conference (NEYKOR) and options for extending your stay in Bhutan beyond the conference will follow soon.
Accommodation, meals etc. included in the conference fee
During the two-day conference in Thimphu, accommodation for three days (from November 3 to November 6) is included. The same goes for all meals [Breakfast /Lunch/Dinner] during the two conference days.
Included in the conference fee is:
- Visa process and arrangement
- All accommodations in 3-star standard hotels
- Standard room on twin sharing basis only
- All meals the two conference days (fixed buffet, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
- Full-time English-speaking guide
- Conference venue charge
Visa
All the participants wishing to visit during the conference have to fill in a visa form immediately after registration and payment. The visa form should be sent at the latest September 7, 2022, as this is the deadline for onsite registration.

For the participants at the conference, the Bhutanese Government has waived off the visa fee
Therefore, when you fill out the visa form, clearly indicate that the purpose of your travel is to attend the FECUN2022 conference and apply for the period November 3 to November 6, 2022
As this is special conference visa, you should send it to the FECUN conference secretariat at fecun@fablab.bt , who will send the form to the proper authorities.
Should you wish to have a visa to extend your stay in Bhutan either before November 3 and/or after November 6, please contact the Tourism Council of Bhutan.
Entry to Bhutan
The best way to travel to Bhutan is by taking a plane to Paro, where Bhutan’s only International airport is from Thailand, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, or Singapore. Both Druk Air, the Royal Bhutan Airlines, and Bhutan Airlines connect to Bhutan.
The optional route to Bhutan is via land, where there are flights to Guwahati and Bagdogra from Kolkata and Delhi, India.
